Custom shipping - 1 item = £4.95, 2 items = £7.95

I have a question regarding a custom shipping script.

My clients shop sells 2 types of products:

A) A folder - of which there are 2 of these
B) A pack of folder inserts - of which there are 4 of these

Currently, the default shipping price per product is £4.95.

What I would like to achieve is this:

Person 1 buys 1 folder - £4.95
Person 2 buys 1 folder and 1 inserts - £4.95
Person 3 buys 2 folders - £7.95
Person 4 buys 3 folders - £7.95
Person 5 buys 2 folders & 2 inserts - £7.95
Person 6 buys 3 folders & 3 inerts - £7.95

I am sure you get the picture. Now, i've looked at a custom shipping script per category, but that does not seem to do it as there is still a quantity issue here.

This was one of the new features added to the XCS version:

Added the option to add a custom ship category. This allows you to use one custom shipping script for multi type of items to be delivered.

I would recommend you upgrade to the XCS version.

The site is running on the latest version XCS Professional. Please advise where I can do the postage settings.

I can see that caregory 1 = £1.00 postage and category 2 may be £2.00 postage, but this does not take into account two lots of cat 2 = £3.00 postage.

I have moved the post to the correct XCS section.
In the product you need to set-up the Custom Shipping: Delivery Category and to use the custom shipping script for delivery by category.
Then you need to change the custom shipping script delivery by category to your needs.
