How do I find out what my current version is?
When you login to your admin your current version can be found on the right hand side of the screen with the heading Software Version.

How do I get the updates for my license key?
You will need your license key number and email address used during the registration of your software. Then go to the below url, enter your information and you will receive an email with a link to download the update and instructions.

Hi,

I have downloaded the upgrade files and read the instructions. I see nothing mentioned in the instructions regarding what is to be done with the FolderCompresionReport_file

I can see what is to be done with manual update files but not the FolderCompresionReport_file

Hi Alan,

In each update you will also get a detail report of the changes in the code between this version and the last version eg in the 002 update the file with these changes is Changes001to002.html.

The FolderCompresionReport_file contain the details of the changes for individual files.
This is done so that if you have made your own custom code modifications you can merge them into any updated file.

Hi David,

For what it's worth sometimes copy paste inadvertently introduces a white space and tha will give you an error (I have had that happen to me).

If you copy and paste make sure there is no space before or after the word/s you just pasted.

Thank-you for correcting the problem but now I have another!

I am running the installer and cannot get past the password.
and have no idea what the password is and don't understand "If you do not remember the installer password you selected during the initial installation of this program, edit the 'config.php' file in this directory. Delete the MD5 hash assigned to the 'khxc.password' variable to create a new password."

What is MD5 hash?
Why can't anything in this program work first time or even be explained without the use of jargon?

Hi David,
What you can do is remove the password from the config.php file.
In the config.php in the public directory change to:

Code: Select all

$config['khxc.password'] = '';

In the config.php in the private directory change to:

Code: Select all

$config['khxc.password_copy'] = '';

You can then enter a new password into the installer.php

Ran the installer and this was the message

"Thank you. The database was fully up to date. No changes were made."

Is this what was supposed to happen?
