Batch Shipping Module not working as intended

Batch Shipping Module not working as intended

Postby abc » 17 Aug 2010 11:08

Hi, I've just done a fresh install of the Batch shipping module. I've had previous experience with the batch shipping module in CCP6. The new batch shipping module does not seem to be working correctly.
Emails which a customer would receive are being shown at first glance as only plain text. When viewing the source of the email I see badly formed html with some random letters appearing. Examples follow:

<html xmlns=3D"http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<meta http-equiv=3D"content-type" content=3D"text/html; charset=3DISO-8859-=
1" />

<style type=3D"text/css" media=3D"all">

=2Estrong {
font-weight: bold;
}

=2Ekhxc_regtablehead {
color: #555555;
padding: 0px;
padding: 0px 0px 2px 0px;
margin: 10px 0px 10px 0px;
font-weight: bold;
border-bottom: 1px solid #999999;
clear: both;
}

<table id=3D"ORDERITEMS" class=3D"khxc_regtable">

<tr class=3D"khxc_regtable">
<td class=3D"khxc_regtable" style=3D"width: 50%">

etc..

this happens for all 3 printable invoice formats

additionally, the batch ship logo does not seem to be showing and if you add a tracking number the customer receives a link "Click Here To Track Your Shipment" with the link always going to "http://googlebase.txt/"

edit/update: got logo working, and the http://googlebase.txt is just an odd default setting for Royal Mail tracking.
The badly formed HTML does work on some mail clients (as it ignores the extra markup) but doesn't on others. Also for anyone else using batchshipping I'd advise running through and correcting a lot of spelling/typos such as 'delivary' 'quntity' 'Registred' which appears throughout.

Hi
It looks like you have corrupted files, try re-downloading and re-installing.

I too am having similar problems to this, is there a set URL that the client needs to put into the Royal Mail track order box (where it currently says http://googlebase.txt/) or should this be automatically set. Also does the client need to manually add a tracking code to each order - and if so where do they do this (I can only see a box for entering a UPS tracking code under the order details).
